2015 Coach Education – Award 1 Child Coaching Course

Award 1 Child Coaching Course is aimed at club coaches that have completed the Foundation Level Course.The course consists of both practical and theory based modules. Cost of the course is 25 Euro. Coaches working with boys and girls under 12 years of age will gain valuable coaching ideas during the course. Club coaches interested in taking part can contact East Kerry/ Kenmare GDA Vince Cooper.

 

Dates  Wednesday 11th November at 7 pm in Firies GAA Club.

Saturday      14th November at 10 am in Firies GAA Club.

Saturday      21st November at 10 am in Firies GAA Club.

2015 Coach Education – Foundation Level Coaching Course

 

East Kerry/ Kenmare clubs interested in completing a Foundation Level Coaching Course should apply to East Kerry/ Kenmare GDA Vince Cooper as soon as possible. The course is two nights with both practical and theory covered during the course. Clubs must have at least twelve club coaches to participate with amalgamations between clubs welcomed to reach this number. Courses will be delivered by Munster Council Tutors for all clubs in the East Kerry/ Kenmare Division.

2015 Super Touch

St Brendans College hosted the Kerry Post Primary Schools blitz last Friday. Games were nine aside with all teams performing well on the day. St. Brendans College defeated Intermediate School Killorglin in a  high scoring cup decider. Colaiste Na Sceilge overcame St Brendans College in the plate decider with both teams showing fantastic kicking skills. P.S. Inver Sceine battled well to win the shield edging out a spirited Intermediate School Killorglin outfit. Gavin White, Michael Foley and Evan Cronin (Kerry Minors) presented medals on the day. Mike Hickey and Brendan Twiss refereed the games. Paul Barden ( St Brendans College) organised the well run event with East Kerry/ Kenmare GDA Vince Cooper providing excellent support. Thanks to Der Brosnan (Dr Crokes) for organising the club portable goals on the day. The games were played in a sporting manner great credit due all teachers and students.

 

 

2015    Referees Course – St Brendans TY Students

St. Brendans College Transition Year students completed a young referees course, delivered in the school by Bart Moriarty, Richard Fitzgerald and Joe Langan to sixty students. The course was a fantastic success with all students enjoying the content. These students will support local East Kerry GAA clubs in helping to referee local Go Games blitzes. Thanks to Gary McGrath (St Brendans College) for his support in organising the event and the Referees Committee for working with Vince Cooper East Kerry/ Kenmare GDA to deliver the course. East Kerry club coaching officers will receive a list of all students that completed the course.
