O’ Sullivan Cup Final – 40th Anniversary

RESULT –  2015  40th Anniversary, O’ Sullivan Cup Final

Rathmore  3-16 Firies 3-13 (AET)

Venue: Dr Crokes Club, Lewis Road

Two last minute Firies goals brought the game to extra time. Firies led by the minimum after the first period of extra time but an early goal by Rathmore and a scatter of points from both sides, saw Rathmore list the Cup after a great, exciting game.

Conn O’ Sullivan presented the O Sullivan Cup to Rathmore captain Brian O Leary and Conn’s son, Conor O’ Sullivan presented the Man of the Match Award to Rathmore’s Dean Fitzgerald.

Referee: Tom Moriarty (Legion)

Tim Ryan, Chairman, East Kerry Board, thanked both teams for a great game, congratulated Rathmore on winning and  thanked the referee and also thanked Dr Crokes club for the use of their facilities

Firies qualified for the Final of the O Sullivan Cup  after a cracking game against neighbours Listry  in Farranfore, on Tuesday evening the 25th August 2015 and await the outcome of Rathmore V Gneeveguilla in Rathbeg on Sunday 30 August 2015
