Heartiest Congratulations to Kilgarvan GAA Club Chairperson, John Foley on winning a Volunteer Ireland Award in the Sports and Recreation Category.
Over 800 nominations were received and John was the only winner from County Kerry.
John is dedicated to Kilgarvan GAA Club, as well as being chairman, he coaches U10 and U12 hurling and football; he is a selector on the senior team. John never says no to a job and will do anything necessary for the club and its members.
John is also very forward thinking and will always propose or keep a project moving, progressing the clubs development.
John doesn’t seek out praise for his work and was very surprised to be nominated and to be an award winner.
