Spa 1-14 Rathmore 1-10
Spa had a great win over a very impressive Rathmore side. Spas Alfie Giles had the honour of scoring the first point. Rathmore replied. Conor Gleeson of the home side, scored the first and only goal of the game. Paul Cahill added to the Spas score sheet with two along with Darren O Connor and Corey Doyle. Away team responded with Rathmores Michael Anthony Kelleher. Spas goal stopper Conor Kerins was outstanding . Half time score Spa 1-6 Rathmore 0-5
Rathmore players Michael Anthony Kelleher and Dean Fitzgerald were outstanding. Spa had great displays by Conor Kerins, Andy Fitzgerald and Paul Cahill.

Glenflesk 1–18 (21) Killarney Legion 2–09(15)
Glenflesk and Killarney Legion played out a high scoring game in round 1 of the East Kerry Junior League. Legion scored a goal mid through the first half to lead by 4 but a goal from Glenflesk corner forward Stephen Lacey cut the gap to 1 at half time – Killarney Legion 1-06 Glenflesk 1-05
The game remained close in the second half and a goal from Michael Bernard ODonoghue gave Legion a 2 point lead with 15 to play. However, the introduction of Glenflesk youngster Darragh Fleming, who scored 5 points from play, swung the game in Glenflesks favour. Full Time Score: Glenflesk 1 -18 (21) Killarney Legion 2- 09 (15)
Scartaglen 0-14 Kilcummin 1-10 (13)
Scartaglen kicked off their League campaign with a deserved victory over Kilcummin. The away side were first to raise the white flag, Tadhg Ryan with his first point of the evening inside the first minute. Scartaglen quickly settled into the game and registered the next five scores without reply. Mike Fitzgerald with the first of the scores in the 5th minute from a free. This was quickly followed by points from Thomas Fortune & Sean OConnor from a free. Mike Fitzgerald registered his second score of the evening in the 11th minute from play. Fred Connor popped up with his first score of the evening in the 12th minute to stretch Scarts lead to 4 points. Scartaglen were very much in control at this stage but a lapse of concentration allowed Kilcummins Tommy Brosnan to pounce on pour defending to find the back of the net. Tadhg Ryan who was Kilcummins danger man drew Kilcummin level soon after with his second point of the evening. For the remainder of the half the momentum swung in Kilcummins favour and they were to add a further two points. Tadhg Ryan with his third and Jerry Sheehan with his first of the evening just before the half time whistle. At halftime Kilcummin lead by two. 1-04 to 0-05.
Scartaglen began the second half brightly. Substitute Tom Boyle with his first of the evening to reduce the deficit to a single score. The game was nip and tuck at this stage with both sides cancelling out each other with scores. Tom Boyle with his second of the evening after a long ball into Mike Fitzgerald. Tom Boyle and Hugh OConnor added further points for Scartaglen. Kilcummin midfielder John Devane & Sean Moynihan with the away sides scores. The scoreline now read 1-07 to 0-08. Donnacha Daly reduced the deficit for the home side but Tadhg Buckley restored Kilcummins advantage to 3pts. Scartaglen regained momentum and control. Fred Connor with his third of the evening before substitute Timmy OConnor would pop up with the score that would give the home side a deserved victory. Credit must go to the away side who equally played their part in a most entertaining game. A great advertisement for Junior football.

South Kerry Under 14 Hurling in Feile Na nGaeil
Unfortunately the Division 9 Cup Semi final was a step too far for South Kerry Hurling team as they lost to Longford Slashers on a scoreline of 2-10 to 1-2. South Kerry scorers: Cormac Howe 1-0 Charlie Keating 0-2. It’s been a marvellous experience for these young men. We thank our hosts Claremorris for a wonderful weekend.
