East Kerry Junior League Division 1 Final
Rathmore 2-14 Spa 2-8
Rathmore won the East Kerry Junior League Division 1 Final sponsored by Kerry Physiotherapy & Rehabilitation Centre Killarney, in very sporting fast moving game. Played in Spa, the home side
got off to a dream start with a goal and a point in the opening 3 minutes – the goal from Corey Doyle. Rathmore reduced the margin to the minimum when Michael A Kelliher rattled the net on the 7th minute. A scatter of points saw the sides level going into to second quarter. Rathmore dominated the scoring to lead at the interval Rathmore 1-8 Spa 1-4.
On Resumption, Rathmore continued to dominate and extended their lead with a Dean Fitzgerald goal. Three unanswered points saw the visitors lead on the 44th minute – 2-11 to 1-4. The sides swapped points before Rathmore goal keeper Sean ORiordan, had a great save in goal. However Spa built another attack and Andy Fitzgerald, sent the rebound to back of net for a Spa goal – 2-12 to 2-5 on the 52nd minute. Spa played to the final whistle but Rathmore held out to win, on a final score of Rathmore 2-14 Spa 2-08.
The James Doyle Memorial cup was jointly presented to Rathmore Captain, Colm Kelly, by Young James Doyle nephew of the late James Doyle, Sponsor Ruth Allen and Johnny Brosnan, (Chairman East Kerry Committee)

Munster Games
Kerry South U14 team made the long journey to Waterford to take part in the Jim Power U14 tournament. The players performed well on the day to qualify for the cup semi finals to be played at a later date. All twenty four players wore the Kerry jersey for the first time a great feeling in any young players development. Thanks to the large volume of supporters that went to support the team on the day.
Kerry South U15s made the short journey to Cork to take part in the Humphrey Kelliher U15 tournament. Playing reigning Munster U14 champions Tipperary in the first game was always going to be tough start. Kerry South started in flying form opening up a commanding half time lead. Tipperary fought hard to reduce the deficit with two second half goals giving them energy. Kerry South held firm to win by a point at the finish. Cork West defeated Limerick in a high scoring game. The semi final was a great test for all players. Two well drilled units played fantastic football in the cup semi final. Cork West won by a goal in a tough physical battle played in a sporting manner. Thanks to all supporters that made the journey to support to the team on the day.
