Congratulations Cordal GAA Club

We wish heartiest congratulations of the Board and all in East Kerry to Cordal GAA club, on Sunday’s reopening of their pitch. This is the culmination of a journey of 3 years, as they would say themselves, from the U-tube famed worst field in Ireland, to the state of the art , all weather pitch, new stand, new dug outs and a perimeter track around the field. Officially reopened by esteemed Úachtarán C.L.G, Aogán Ó Fearghail. In attendance also were Diarmuid O’ Shea, Vice chairman and representing the County Board, Tim Ryan Chairman East Kerry Board, and Johnny Breen, Chairman, St Kierans. MC for the day was Charlie Farrelly, the club treasurer. Tim Murphy, County Committee Development Officer, Sean Kelly, Former Uachtarán CLG, Cordal Chairman Tom Wrenn and Richard O Donoghue, club Runai, another great club servant also spoke.
The days activities began with a celebration Mass in Cordal Church, followed by underage games featuring Cordal Juvenile teams and culminating in the Co League Division 3 game, Cordal V Firies.
Nora Feeley, hardworking Cordal PRO, asked us to relay their thanks to the community, neighbouring clubs, all their sponsors and all who contributed in any way, bringing this to fruition. All concerned should be justifiably very proud.
