Rules/Regulations – East Region Minor Leagues 2019
As agreed by the East Kerry board and East Region clubs at a meeting held on 6th June 2019 at 8pm in Killarney Heights Hotel
Clubs Represented: Beaufort, Cordal/Scartaglen, Currow, Fossa, Gneeveguilla, Glenflesk, Killarney Legion, Rathmore and Kilgarvan/Tuosist.
Clubs not represented: Firies, Kenmare, Kilcummin and Dr. Crokes.
East Kerry/Region Committee: East Kerry Chairman Johnny Brosnan, East Kerry Vice-Chairman John Dineen East Kerry CCC Chairman Michael Piggot, East Kerry Board Secretary/East Kerry CCC Secretary Dermot O Connor and East Kerry PRO Michael O Mahony.
Division 1 (15 a Side)
- Will consist of five teams; Dr. Crokes, Killarney Legion, Rathmore, Firies and Gneeveguilla.
- Each team will play each other once in the league.
- 1st placed team are in the final with home advantage.
- 2nd placed and 3rd placed teams to play Semi-final with 2nd placed team having home advantage.
Division 2 (13/15 a side)
- Will consist of three teams; Beaufort, Kilcummin and Glenflesk
- Each team will play each other once in the league
- 1st placed team are in the final with home advantage.
- 2nd placed and 3rd placed teams to play Semi-final with 2nd placed team having home advantage.
NB: The Final will be 15 a side
Division 3 (13 a side)
Will consist of four teams: Spa, Cordal/Scartaglen, Fossa and Currow
- Each team will play each other once in the league.
- 1st placed team are in the final with home advantage.
- 2nd placed and 3rd placed teams to play Semi-final with 2nd placed team having home advantage
NB: The Final can be played as 15 a side only with agreement from both clubs involved, well in advance of the final, if no agreement; final will be 13 a side
Starting date for East Region Minor Leagues
- Decided at next East Kerry CCC Meeting- as being Thursday 27th June 2019 at 7.30pm
Regarding Kerry U-17 & Kerry U-20 player eligibility
- Kerry U-17 and Kerry U-20 players are excluded from playing in the East Region Minor Leagues.
- A player dropped off the Kerry U-17 and Kerry U-20 training panel of 30 (after Munster final) can play in the East Region Minor leagues with their clubs.
NB: If Players are not made available Minor Leagues continues
- If Kerry U-20s are beaten in the Munster, Kerry U-20 players can play in the East Region Minor leagues.

NB: Any walkovers will incur a fine of 50 euro
IMPORTANT NOTICE:
- All remaining rounds and games will be picked up as teams drop out of the County Minor Championship.
- All games to go ahead as per fixtures, no postponements and if games are not played or teams can’t field, the game will be awarded.
NB: Where teams finishing level on points having played same number of fixtures- scoring averages will apply to the East Region Minor League competition. The breakdown will be as follows:
- Outcome of the meeting of the Teams in their Division
- Score difference – subtracting the total Scores against from the total Scores for
- Highest Total Score For
- Highest Total Goals For
- A Play-Off or a toss
NB: The score from the official referees report will be the score used.
Fixtures fulfilled will be taken into account when deciding placing, where teams finish level on points. (i.e. Teams with more games played will go above teams that concede games)
