The Colm Cooper Under 13 Blitz took place in Lewis road on Saturday 5th September 2015. The format was 13 aside, games of ten minutes with players limited to one hop one solo. Participating teams came from the four corners of Ireland. The eight teams that took part were divided into two groups of four teams each. Dr. Crokes defeated a spirited Fr. Casey’s outfit in the plate decider. The Cup decider was an all Cork affair with Bishopstown defeating a gallant Ballincollig team after extra time. Dr Crokes club pulled out all the stops to run such a fantastic event with all teams delighted to take part on the day. Well done to John O’ Shea (Coordinator) and the club patrons for supporting the event. The standard of football was excellent with all teams showing great skills and sportsmanship during the day.
